Desperate graduate looking for help/advice

Hi all,

I am a recent graduate from a EU school and earlier this year I did my Off-Cycle internship at a BB in London. However, I didn't get a full-time offer from my bank despite that I have a very good review and my team likes me, due to reduced headcount for OC interns this year caused by COVID-19.

I have good experience so far (3 x 6-month M&A Internships), I have good technical knowledge, the passion for M&A and I consider my self very resilient and persistent. I am really applying for everything available since August.

However, after 2 months of applying for Full-Time positions while trying hard in networking, I am getting so lost because:

  • Too few companies are really recruiting Full-Time analysts this year, as most of their FT spots are already filled out by summer interns from a nearly 100% conversion rate.
  • For many EBs and small shops who randomly hire, they do not sponsor visa. I am a Non-EU citizen, I really cannot work in UK without sponsorship.
  • The job market is still looking very depressed for graduate hire. And my Visa in the country where I currently live is expiring in 4 months.
  • For large banks who used to hire OC interns, they are no longer doing so... Only MS has opened OC app portal, HSBC even stopped providing sponsorship for interns this year.

This year is really a bad year for many people, and it is extremely worse for me in terms of timing. I know it might be a bit too straightforward, but I am now reaching out to everyone in this forum:

  • If your team is looking to hire Entry-level analysts, or if you know someone that his/her firm is hiring, please PM me, I am more than happy to have a conversation and tell you know more about me and my qualifications.
  • If you have any advices, please feel free to leave a comment. I am really taking every helpful thought into consideration.

I really appreciate for any help.

Many thanks in advance.
