Europe: BB vs. MBB --> Buy Side

I am absolutely fascinated by the Buy Side and would love to spend most of my career here. So my sole concern in this thread is which option will pave the path to the buy side for me.

  • IBD at a European BB (at HQ, strong team)
  • MBB (strong European office)

I am in Europe and intend to stay here. In this respect, I need recommendations tailored to the European landscape.

Does anyone have input? How does the MBB -> PE path compare to traditional IB -> PE in Europe? Which path maximizes opportunities? Grateful for any advice!
