How are first round interviews judged?
I had a first round at my top choice bank, and it got extremely technical. I answered 8/9 of the technicals correctly. One of them I gave a vaguely correct answer to, but didn't include a formula/exact metrics, and had to be told the correct answer.
My interviewer was generally stone faced, and only responded with "okays" at the end of each question-even ones that were correct. I don't know how to gauge how I did.
So my question is, how do they evaluate first round interviews? Do they look for any reason to eliminate you, do they pass along notes to HR and then they make the decision after comparing me with other candidates, etc.?
FWIW, I'm a minority candidate and did their (virtual) minority program, could that factor in?
Was this an EB?
