I want to learn how to model a life insurance company. I am willing to pay up to $500. Can someone please point me to a resource? Any resources or anything of that sort would help. If you have a good model (US GAAP), then I would pay for that too. Just can't find any resources online that actually provide a sophisticated example.
None of these are models per se but should be a good starting point.

Check out Globe Life as an example of a simple term and whole life monoline insurer. Pretty basic company to understand and they do a nice job on disclosure. Some of the links above are confusing in practice - you’re just not going to ever get that disclosure from a public company on reserves.
