is my BO spring week worth doing LDN

Got a BO spring week at GS, which I have accepted but they now want to run it virtual for 2 weeks and it is not compulsory and you still get fastracked to last round and paid. Cant be bothered doing virtual as I want to prepare for the GMAT. Is it the right decision.

FYI terrible non target with incoming FO internship in the summer if not cancelled

Do the SW and prep for the GMAT on the side. Unless you're cramming the GMAT for applications due in June/July, the GMAT can be dealt with before the next academic year. My honest opinion is that any experience is better than no experience. You've done the hard work of getting the SW - why give that up now because you can't be bothered? Besides, GS BO will still allow you to meet people from the firm in different parts of the business; if you don't want to do the AC for BO, I'm sure you could network your way to an AC for another role.

Not a great attitude to have. I’m sure there are 1000s of others who applied would kill to be in your position. Even if you’re fast tracked, it would look better if you attended the sessions for the interview.

Why did you apply for BO if you’re interested in FO?

Fair fair, I’d still make the most of it. I’ve heard from friends who did the GS spring week that they could attend non division talks to see if they’re interested. I presume it’s the same for virtual.

Is it your aim to convert it to a FO role though? Could you get a FT offer from your summer internship?
