Justice for Leo - BofA is Disgraceful

Please donate to the family and to honor the fallen associate’s death. https://www.classy.org/campaign/the-lukenas-famil…

This was completely avoidable and never should have occurred. Sounds like it happened to the worst possible guy too - a father and ex-special forces soldier.

Although I am proud of the way our community has taken action to ensure this story becomes publicized the correct way, I am so beyond disgusted with how the media and BofA have shifted the narrative. There has been NO mention of his working conditions or the culture in BofA’s FIG team. There has been no mention that this is no longer a black swan event, and there are now several instances of bankers dying under very suspect circumstances (but all blame deflected from the banks of course). Every instance of BofA’s FIG group head name getting posted is immediately censored and taken down. Why is this guy being protected again? It is absolutely insane how his online presence is basically now non-existent. Also, the Reuter’s article makes it seem like the associate’s passing had nothing to with work, while in reality it most likely had EVERYTHING to do with work. There may as well have been no article because it’s just a bunch of PR bullshit from BofA - “wE aRe DeVaStAtEd”. If they actually cared they would revamp their entire culture, fire all the offenders, and pay the family a ludicrous sum of money.

It seems like we are just going on business as usual. We lost a really good man that did not deserve this. How many more people have to literally die before something changes?

Bump. Sucks that major outlets are probably scared to say anything for fear of litigation for libel. Bunch of psychopaths with no lives or interests out of work perpetuating the glorification of being chained to your computer 120 hours a week. Either divorced or no wives/ kids, of course they want to subject everybody to their soulless misery. The managers in the FIG group at BofA absolutely need to be held accountable.

Bump this whole thing is so horrible. There needs to be accountability, amendments and compensation. They can’t just get away with this. MDs on the deal have blood on their hands

It’s a sad world we live in when hardworking people are taken advantage of to the point of death

Bump, also shout out to the few BofA MDs who have publically donated $1000+: Ben Lett, and Nicholas Daly in particular. Bill Ackman also put in 10K which is super nice of him

Hello, I’m a correspondent with NewsNation. This is now the second death in just a few weeks of a BOA employee and we can see the concern being raised by other employees and member of the finance community. I worked/covered financial markets on the floor of the NYSE for the last 4 years and know the intense workload well. I’m looking to try and speak with family of the two men who recently passed, friends, or co-workers. Also, anyone in the industry willing to highlight and talk about work conditions/expectations/ possible toxic culture. If anyone is interested or can point me in the right direction, please contact me via email at anieves@newsnationnow(dot)com …. This platform won’t allow me to complete the post with the proper email format.
