RBC Public Finance?
Is RBC public finance overall a good place to work? Currently at a BofA/MS/WF and a potential opportunity has come up at RBC. I don't love the culture at the larger firm and am thinking it's possible RBC's overall PF culture could be better as it's a bit more regional? Knowing it really varies on group and banker. Seems like pay is just as competitive as the larger banks and no problem with deal flow - potentially just more mouths to feed?
Don’t do it
Is it somehow worse than the above PF shops?
I’ve seen people say RBC pays the biggest bonuses…they’re usually at the top of league tables. Im at the the MM bank in Pubfin that does 1,000 deals a year, if you know you know. Looking to leave though, the hiring is a mess.
What are hours / comp like in pubfin?
What do you mean by the hiring is a mess?
Can I pm? Think I know which firm you’re talking about and recently had a superday for west coast. Would love to hear thoughts as I mostly only talked w seniors.
Whack culture. Very disjointed, very distributed geographically.
do you mean the culture is bad or weird?
Both. Very group specific.
