RX IB to Consumer PE / Tech HF?

Senior from a non-target. Going to a mid-tier RX IB in NY this year and honestly have no clue what I want to do with my career. I think RX, Consumer, and Tech all sound interesting but without any experience in any of them except RX, it's hard to know what I'd want to do in the future.

Should I just assume the optionality from RX IB will open enough doors for other things like non-RX buy-side or would I need to lateral to a different group and go from there?

Also, how do people even go about finding their likes/dislikes in their career? Just networking with people in the space? A tech HF sounds interesting in theory, but if I'm not looking at interesting companies I feel like it'd get boring fast.
