UK Corporate Banking Comp Progression
Currently work in NYC but want to live in London for personal reasons, was wondering what comp looked like across the atlantic in corporate banking across levels. I heard pay in London is always at a discount to the US but I am wondering by how much.
At my bank:
Analyst: 100k - 110k Base, 30k+ Bonus
Associate: 130k-150k Base, 50k+ Bonus
VP: 200k Base, 150k - 200k+ Bonus
Director: 250k Base, 250k - 500k+ Bonus
MD: 1m Base, 1m+ Bonus
All figures as in USD, what do you guys think, are any of your VPs or Directors pulling in GBP500K to GBP1m+ a year?
I don't know about VP/Director, but for AN1 the base 70k GBP (at my bank at least).
70k gbp base for corp banking? Seems high
It's under the same umbrella as the investment bank.
What is the standard market pay?
Same as the investment bankers, I would assume. Base, that is.
Hold up - what bank is giving a $1mm base for MDs, whether it's IB or CB? Genuinely curious because that seems extreme.
Other #s seem correct.
AN1 GBP60 Base @ Canadian bank
