UK IB/PE Languages: Is Spanish Enough?
I'm an American and I'm deciding if I should attend college in the UK, and one of the concerns I have is the language situation (I have another post where you can address other factors I should consider).
I'm on my way to speaking Spanish. I got a 5 on the AP, and last summer I studied at the B2 level. I'm not fluent yet but with a few weeks-months in an immersion course I'll be able to speak Spanish fluently for business. I could probably attain fluency over the summer (if the plague allows).
Would that be enough to satisfy the language requirement that these UK firms have? If I need to learn another language I'll probably try Italian or French, but I have no experience in either of those languages, and I don't know if I can learn them fluently like I can with Spanish.
Thoughts?
