What font and size do you model in

Always been a default Calibri 11pt guy (esp because all the Cap IQ shortcuts follow that format and I’m too lazy to change them) but wondering if Arial pt10 is the way to go.

Current settings:

  • Font: Calibri
  • Size: 11
  • Gridlines: Off
  • Zoom: 100%
  • Column A Width: 2

Curious to hear your thoughts on this pressing matter.

Nice. Will also add my preferences too that’s a good call

Seems like Arial is the most prestigious. Changing my Excel settings as we speak.

No way this is real. Any banker would know Alt W VG is the most important sequence of keys known to mankind. On the first day of my summer internship, my associate made me do 5 hours of Alt W VG reps until my fingers bled. To this day, the red marks on the keys show my devotion to the lack of gridlines.

arial 10

no gridlines

column A 2 width

zoom depends on monitor size

(matt ting also uses this and i worship him)

Bump for Arial 10. I'll do 2 empty rows on all 4 sides and print screen capturing the 1 empty row and not capturing the other, was taught that way and looks clean

Yessir - if helpful I also prefer adding in running mini-excel headers too on all my tabs. So something like:

  • Cell C3 is the title of the whole workbook
  • Cell C4 is the title of the tab (I'm sure y'all know but for the younger ones, use this formula =MID(CELL("filename",A1),FIND("]",CELL("filename",A1))+1,255))
  • Cell C5 (if needed) denotes the currency and denominations I'm using, like "Values in US$bn unless otherwise denoted"

I feel like such a nerd for writing that lol

Calibri

Size 10

Gridlines off

85% to 100% depending on screen size

Width 1

The one "odd" thing I'll do is make A1 a perfect square - it looks nice to me
