2 Remote Contracting Jobs in Financial Services Simultaneously?
I currently work remotely as a contract temp (indefinitely) at a large bank as a business analyst building risk computation engines on the tech side.
I have just received another remote contract temp offer (6 months) at an investment firm (think Blackrock) building data analytics platforms.
I have no discretion over trading or investment decisions.
My thinking is I can:
1) get 2x income for around 40-50 hours of work a week
2) hedge against losing job
3) gain full time work at the investment manager
Is this a terrible/great/smart/risky idea?
Does either of them say you can't be employed elsewhere at the same time?
Not explicitly but they do ask to disclose outside business
They will absolutely not allow this under any circumstances. I have no idea what the consequences will be if you lie (maybe criminal?).
