If the goal is to be rich, IB PE or Consulting?

Honestly really wondering which is the best route. I take it it’s hard to expect having much skin in the game in any of these specially in the beginning. So would it be easier to get rich in IB totally dependent on salary and bonuses with no time to do any investing on your own, PE where maybe you have some skin in the game if you do well but also not a lot of time to do your own investing, or consulting making probably a bit less but having some time to invest on your own. Or maybe that’s not at all how it is…?

Depends how rich you want to get and how much risk and effort you're willing to put in. If you want to get rich from salary (incl. bonuses and carry etc.) alone without having to do anything beyond doing well in an office environment, PE is the way.

If you want to maximise wealth (while increasing risk), entrepreneurship is almost the only way to true self-created wealth. For this, probably best to start in consulting (can also do IB/PE first but you'll meet more people like you who can work with you or at least encourage you with consulting culture at MBB) and start your own thing relatively early on.
