Is securities lending experience/position helpful for entering into consulting & IB positions?

Hey,

I'm currently in a securities lending entry position in a major bank in NA. Really want to break into management consulting or investment banking in the future. However, I'm struggling to see how my current experience in SL can help or build my profile to break into these industries. Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.

Many thanks,
