My semester ends mid-June. Would I have any problems if I land a US summer internship?

I’m a rising junior at my country’s top target. I’ve already applied to the BBs that have offices here, but unfortunately there aren’t many (Only 3, actually), so I was thinking on just throwing a Hail Mary and applying to the US. I’m also a US citizen so there wouldn’t be any visa issues.

The thing is that last year my school decided to shit the spring semester, it now starts in February and ends mid-June. I know that most SA internships start early June.

Does anybody know if banks would be flexible in terms of starting 1-2 weeks late? Or am I just shit out of luck?

Another intern I worked with last summer was in this same situation. He started on time and had to take finals in the middle of June (end of week 2 of the internship). He didn’t miss any work and expressed that he had planned ahead with his professors and made HR aware of the situation.

I would imagine you will be fine as well so long as you communicate with your professors and HR.
