Recruiting while studying abroad

I just got accepted for fall semester at Bocconi this upcoming fall. I will be a junior next year and actively recruit for Summer 2024 internships.  Can anyone who has previously participated in Consulting recruiting abroad, or aware of how it works, talk about how this impacts the recruiting process for better/worse? How does this affect case interviews; will I need to fly back to into the country if I get an offer or interview? I'll be spending time on traveling and exploring, but the internship is also very important, and I am willing to put in time for interviews etc when in Italy as well. Thanks for your help!
