Sophomore year recruiting
I just finished my freshman year internship at a search fund / PE firm and I am recruiting for roles next summer. Only 2 or 3 banks have a Sophomore analyst role (MS and BoA) that isn't targeted to diversity (I'm a white male). I have applied and am currently networking for these roles but haven't made any substantial connections except for a couple networking calls.Should I be applying to general finance roles at companies? Or strictly stick to IB and just network like hell? Do EBs / middle market banks hire sophomores consistently? Also I go to a non-target so my school has some connections to Banks but nothing like what students at Ivys have access to.Any and all advice is appreciated.
