Strategy for Fulltime positions (NYC) 2024

Hello everyone,

I have secured a internship with a bank in SF. My company is not one of the top ones but can be considered a tier 2 bank. My group is a strong one. However, I still want to lateral to NYC (either the same bank's NYC office or another bank in NYC) for my full time position. I am wondering what the best strategy to network and look for an open position should be?

Although there are some information sessions being held by BBs at my school, I am unsure whether it would be wise to attend, as I do not wish to appear disrespectful to the bank I will be interning with this summer. I am in a bit of a quandary and would appreciate any advice you could offer.
