Getting grilled during superday...

Hey everyone,

Had a 1.5-day Superday with a MF RE developer that ended yesterday. Only had 2 1-on-1 interviews, with the first being super conversational. The second was with a senior exec, who grilled me to shreds on "why XYZ major, school, last job, why should I hire you, etc.). Is this a bad sign? The interview ran 15 minutes over time, which didn't leave me any time to ask questions. Maybe I'm overthinking, but would be grateful for any input!

Was in a very similar scenario -except with a BB. I assume you’re not a finance/econ/accounting major if the interviewer asked you why you chose your major.

From my experience, the interviewers were a bit biased since my major wasn’t one of the three I listed above. Don’t know why these Interviewers (who went to ULTRA non-targets) grilled me on my major and on my school choice (T15). Didn’t end up getting the offer.

Felt like they had chips on their shoulders since I went to a WAY better school than the both of them. Interviewed with another guy in the group that went to a ~T5 school, and he was super chill and we spoke for a while. Don’t know why it’s always the non-targets who are so fucking insecure.

Got a way better offer lined up, though, so I’m chilling.

Best of luck to you man. Don’t know why these fucking interviewers are always questioning major and school choice. Kinda ironic sometimes - maybe next time I’ll ask them why they went to their shitty school and chose their major.
