Transfer - What should I put on my app?
I transferred after my freshman year of college and I’ve now completed my sophomore year at my new school. My cum GPA was 3.69 at a my old school and 3.49 and my new. What should I put on my app as my GPA? My worry is that if I put the average, they’ll ask for my transcript and get something noticeably lower. Any ideas?
resume* not app...sorry, I got into transfer mode there...
I would say you need to go with 3.49. This is just my opinion (and I'm not a hiring coordinator or anything like that) so take it for what it's worth. However, everyone knows that when you transfer your gpa resets. For better or worse, you use the gpa at your current school.
you can list both universities on your resume. that way you can put both gpas. anything else would raise alot of questions which the interviewer/reader may make uncomfortable.
what schools?
I'd list both
northwestern and columbia...don't know if that makes any difference
Thanks for the input guys
