Trouble Applying Online

Am I the only one who has trouble using banks' online applications? Some of them (Wachovia, Citigroup, BofA) are really unwieldy and totally complicated. And it's a real pain in the ass having to drop it through the school AND the company.

I agree that most banks' online application have a great extent of room for improvement.  Overall, it is very similar from bank from bank.. you just need to basically take what's in ur resume and individually paste to each of the section.. a pain in the behind..

And the thing that sucks, the return on time you put in is not that great..

Another problem seems to be that banks limit you to applying for only one or two positions...does anyone know that if I apply for 4-5 on my school's career website, I'll be considered for all of those or only the one that matches what I applied for on the site? For example, I applied for trading, CMBS, and research for Barclays on my school's career site yet was only able to apply for one of those on Barclays site.

Chance of getting a reply from online is very hard (I only got 1 out of perhaps 50 I applied over the years).  The school's career development is definitely better or if you have any connections (which I don't).

Sometimes companies would list options on your career site but then tell you to apply online, do that too.
