Unique Job Search- Low GPA=mediocre job?

Hi,
I'm a student in a Top Business Undergraduate school. I was raised in Brazil and I'm studying abroad for one year in Italy. I can also speak four languages fluently.
However, my only job experience is with at my father's company in Brazil where I was a Lean management consultant to increase production efficiency in the factory. And I'll be most likely graduating with a 2.8-2.9 GPA since I have just failed one of my classes here in Italy.
I'm very worried that I wont be able to get a good job after graduation since I want to stay in the US for some time.
How important is GPA in the job search? And are there exceptions?
