7 years of government finance to pursuing MBA to pivot to private sector

I’m waiting for MBA admissions decisions (T25 schools via the Consortium) and am looking to pivot from a solid $130K in government finance to a private sector role- corporate finance, hedge funds, PE, VC and IB are all on my radar- I’m an older soon to be married female student and have heard corporate finance will offer the most ‘stability’ and be on par with my current salary, BUT I am looking To be challenged in my first ever private sector role and definitely imagine if I have To take out loans to my reach non-Consortium M7 I need to be clearing $200K to pay it all back swiftly.

I 100% understand that IB/PE/VC are BIG stretches without any previous experience in the industry, BUT I have Also heard if you hustle you can make contacts and get a foot in at least- so I’m doing that currently via LinkedIn and friends of friends who are in the industry.

Any tips/thoughts on Hedge funds via MBA programs?

Based on conversations I’ve had it seems that pursuing a rotational Finance Program with a F100 company is a solid route to $130K all in, but I’m hungry for more!
