Major career decision

Hi all,

I am nearing the age of 30 and have to make a career choice between PE Real Estate and Corporate Development in a niche industry (education)..Am concerned about work-life balance of PE, but also about exit options working in CorpDev within the educational space...would really appreciate any feedback, thoughts and pointers. Thank you.

You'll need to expand a lot more on these opportunities (comp/expected hours/geographic location) and you personally (background/career interests/desired exit ops/family to consider/etc.) to get a discussion going.

Just throwing out 2 job titles and your age isn't going to get you much advice, and if it does, it won't be good advice.

My two cents is to please elaborate if you'd like help...

“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be”

Thanks for the response.

Total package is more or less the same at this junior level. PE hours are expected to be 10+ versus 8 at the CorpDev role. Location is Hong Kong for both. My background is Big 4 CorpFin and Advisory experience, no family at this stage, but probably in 2-3 years' time, hence the attractiveness of work life balance in CorpDev.

Any thoughts? Many thanks.
