Also I'm curious. What made you think he operated on a different level than anyone else. What did he do/say that really blew you away?

We were in a few of the same clubs - don’t remember which one this was in, but the task we had to do was “sell me this pen”. After 3 or 4 mediocre pitches, he gets up in front of everybody and I swear by the end of it I was ready to spend my life savings on pens.

He always had a massive smile and was super witty. Speech and debate specifically, I remember he never stuttered. Never once said “uhm” or “like”. He was more polished as a 16 year old than anyone I’ve ever met in a professional setting.

You know how you’ll meet someone that just radiates positivity? I know I’m not one of those people - I love a good conversation, but I prefer to be left alone for the most part. You can’t meet Robert and walk away not in a better mood.

I’ve gotten pretty good at acting like a business professional, but even then, I think a high school Robert runs laps around current me. Dude was so well-spoken that you’d debate him and by the end would be convinced that the earth was flat if that was his stance

Damn that's crazy about bill gates. You could now easily win the 'four degrees of separation' game.

I was at the mission in Carmel / Monterey on vacation with my family when I saw another kid. He was wearing the sweatshirt of the neighboring high school in my hometown.

Another story, I moved schools and a girl from my previous school moved to the same school as me in the same year. It makes sense looking back because there are only so many schools around military bases, but in 5th grade it blew my mind to see her again. We also ended up renting our old house to people who lived on the same street we were moving to. I swear sometimes the Army / government seems like the same 15 people running around.

Was at a CFA event one time to network. A young man told a story that was very similar to something I read on WSO. I said, “You’re on WSO, aren’t you?” He stuttered and said, “uh, yea.” I nodded and walked away.

If you’re reading this, you met the great Wolf in real life.
