Are Rural MAGAs Destroying The GOP?

Saw this on Reddit, and not mentioned anywhere else.. thoughts?

Last night, MTG—a sitting US Congressperson—spoke at the American First PAC conference in Orlando. She was introduced by Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist, who applauded Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to applause, followed by a chant of “Putin! Putin!”

Here is the video:

Nobody from the Republican Party has mentioned this or spoken out about it.

Why are alt left libs so insecure, Jesus. Do you really need constant reassurances from everyone just to go about your day?

this is the definition of non-news, please stay away from checking your phone every 10min  for pointless crap and go touch grass

The alt right has moved so far right, that they’re now calling a Glenn Youngkin supporter an alt left lib. Hilarious and sad

Exactly.  Everyone who disagrees with him is alt-left, which is the left wing version of neo-Nazis and white nationalists.

But if a congresswoman speaks at an event organized by a Neo-Nazi for the purpose of injecting his ideology into mainstream conservativism, that's not news.  That's just libs being triggered.

He is only willing to talk about the crazies on the other side.

there's no more "GOP" to destroy anymore; i'd argue that the "GOP" to which you refer started veering off the tracks ever since Trump won, and what you're seeing now is just a reflection of what the party has sadly become

Because it's literally a post worthy of non-news? You know what other country has an [insert majority ethnic race] movement? Most countries. Why is this surprising?

FYI my ideal candidate is pretty close to Romney / Youngkin

So the people who feel oppressed by the US giving gay people rights are willing to overlook actual oppression?  Sounds about right to me.

Fuentes is the definition of a shithead rightwing troll and is clearly making a joke. It's as though obvious sarcasm is impossible for you hardcore lefties to detect and/or understand. Do you just have trouble hearing inflections in people's voices, trouble reading facial expressions, an inability to regulate your own emotional responses to external stimuli, or all of the above? Is this you?

"The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly" - Robert A. Wilson | "If you don't have any enemies in life you have never stood up for anything" - Winston Churchill | "It's a testament to the sheer belligerence of the profession that people would rather argue about the 'risk-adjusted returns' of using inferior tooth cleaning methods." - kellycriterion

"Irony is so important for giving a lot of cover and plausible deniability for our views," Fuentes said in a 2020 video. He specifically cited Holocaust denial — or what he termed Holocaust "revision" — as a topic that is too fraught to discuss earnestly, even on the far right.  "When it comes to a lot of these issues, you need a little bit of maneuverability that irony gives you," Fuentes said.

Fuentes admits to using irony and humor as a method spread hate.

There are lots of reasons to criticize all politicians but this video is disturbing and very unamerican.  I am not sure which part I am more offended by the mocking of the diverse nature of the United States or praising dictatorships.  I guess there is nothing new here in that this rhetoric is what appeals to some republican voters. The dude is appealing to people are anti-Asian, anti-Indian, anti-Black, anti-Hispanic, etc.

Well, there are definitions of sarcasm:

Here is an appropriate one for the situation:

sarcasm:  the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.
