Is anyone else going to join Truth Social?

Definitely don't think it will be as big as Facebook which has close to 3bl MAUs. Twitter though only has 330ml MAUs. A comp might be Rumble which has 40ml MAUs and growing. 

I wouldn't hang your hat on it becoming as big as Twitter but definitely a possibility if you include U.S. / Canada / Western Europe Australia. For instance, Rumble's country share of usage breaks down as 60% U.S. / 10% Canada / 5% Australia / 5% UK / 20% Other. Though if it even reaches 100ml MAUs this thing will be a home run as that is more than sufficient scale with which to monetize users effectively (esp when they belong to a more homogenous demographic).

I'm curious what cloud is hosting this site. Amazon / Google / Microsoft I'd imagine would on principle refuse to host it because it wouldn't be an inherently liberal service, perhaps one of the Chinese clouds like BABA / Tencent? They could use on-prem server racks but that would be much less efficient   

Stay around the internet long enough and you realize that any community that allows free speech will eventually become right leaning. 

Ill consider using the app if they actually allow discourse. Am not worried about being disagreed with

Is it fair to be skeptical that the courts would be biased or be paid off by Truth Social? I'd be skeptical considering only a very limited court system is allowed in disputes.

I'm interested to see how well it does. It does have the potential to do very well if it truly does allow free speech and doesn't "cancel" people. Plus if it does well on user privacy, it could bring users over from other platforms.

People see twitter as solely an echo chamber? Then blame it for that result when Trump is the king of using twitter as an echo chamber. Why cause they went on there and saw some tweets that didn't agree with Trump or so.

When there is power outages in my area, what medium does the power company use? Twitter. When a major NBA trade goes down, who has it first? Twitter. When natural disasters occur what medium we use to track it? Twitter. Look on the HF forum here everyone knows Twitter has  lots of insightful discussion about P/E values of certain companies. 

Twitter is an extremely powerful medium who’s  goal was never to be an echo chamber and if they want to police that its their choice. Facebook main fallacy while more popular and liked worldwide enforces the “echo chamber” cause they make more money that way. Twitter you can easily ignore all the noise and get all the value.

Any app saying “free speech is here”. Is never going to get the breadth of content and value twitter creates.
