Soccer Star Achraf Hakimi faces divorce, but all his assets are in Mom's name - wife now claims rape

Soccer Star Achraf Hakimi Defeats Ex-Wife Hiba Abouk In Divorce With Incredibly Smart Ploy – OutKick

"Editor’s Note: After publishing the story, it was brought to my attention that Achraf Hakimi is facing preliminary charges for rape in Paris.

Preliminary charges in the French legal system occur when a judge has strong reason to believe there is a crime yet it allows time for more investigation before a possible trial. If true, all of the following commentary is bunk and I immediately throw my support in his ex-wife’s corner.

In response to their recent efforts, I’ve decided to relaunch Anheuser-Busch’s “Real Men of Genius” marketing campaign. The first bro I’m anointing as a “brainiac” is Moroccan soccer star Achraf Hakimi who defeated his ex-wife, Hiba Abouk, in a divorce battle.

Hakimi’s divorce situation could’ve been as lame as any New Yorker or Californian. Meaning, Hakimi may have been on the hook to pay his ex-lady — Abouk — at least half of his soccer earnings.

This dude makes roughly $1.1 million per month! If it were me, I might go Fargo on Abouk instead of paying $550K every four weeks, even if she were the mother of my child. With that kind of money, I could just pay for a nanny.

However, it didn’t come to that because Hakimi had an ace up his sleeve. Apparently, this brilliant man registered his assets under his mother’s name. He included clothes, cars, and real estate."

HAHAHAHA get fooked ya raggedy gash, ya get nothin. What an absolute chad. Frankly, that's a brilliant idea in this day and age ASSUMING your mother is actually smart about money and respects you enough not to do anything stupid. "Gold diggers hate this 1 simple trick"

Not a law professional so not sure but can it be argued as 'frauduent conveyence' ?

Anyway good for him for being able to protect his assets.

What a chad. In an era of simps this is a brilliant move. Men need to learn how to protect themselves from predatory divorce courts. I don't understand how you can be entitled to half of someone's earnings because you were married to them. Did she give up on a career that would make her 1 million a month just to be with this guy? Probably not.

If you don't want to split your earnings, don't get married.  I don't understand takes like yours - no one is holding a gun to the guy's head to making him say "I do."  There is nothing "predatory" about divorce courts; this shit is all known ahead of time, and if you make a million bucks a month you have the resources to figure that out.

And for what it's worth... it seems like she absolutely can make a case her career would have paid her a lot.  Obviously the only details known are the ones in the papers, but she's a reasonably well known model and actress.

But the moral of the story is that if you can't keep it in your pants, just don't get married!  Derek Jeter slept with half of NYC and he's still beloved, because he was smart enough not to marry the first hot woman that came along.  Marriage is a contract, and if you break the terms of it, you deserve to lose half.

Yes, well like you said, it was all known ahead of time, he had the resources to figure it out and he took action to prevent a negative outcome for himself. Can't be mad that he chose to register all his earnings under his mother's name.

We're never going to agree because I fundamentally disagree with the way divorces are handled. I don't think assets should be split 50-50. If someone made 90% of that pile they should keep most of it. If someone claims they lost earnings based on marital responsibilities they should prove how much in potential earnings they lost based on degrees, career trajectory etc. This woman, by the way, stayed active during her marriage and shot more movies. 100% people this rich have nannies to take care of the kids.

She’s also considered richer than him on paper and he will be entitled to up to 50% of her assets which would be ~$3million.

Everything is in his mum’s name so when he wants something, he just asks her to buy it. Your mum will never betray you but some of these girls..
