Construction/Development Manager venturing into IB/PE

Construction/Development manager with a Civil Engineering + Construction Management Masters, 6+ years of experience in varied positions, 3 years in the current role of Project Manager, work for a boutique development firm (Multi-family + Industrial NNN) with in-house construction abilities, to demonstrate my skills- have developed a 22Acre industrial condominium with wetlands single-handedly from entitlement to construction buyout and commissioning. (Assisted a 150Acre Insutrial PUD in previous experience)

Current Comp $120k + Bonus appx $15k, decent benefits, and great working hours in an LCOL area.

Wanting to venture out into investment banking, Private equity to break the monotony, don't have enough capital built to venture out into development by myself. Is it realistic to expect a smooth transition- similar working hours two-fold salary range with some certifications to support my modeling/pro forma skills?
