Culture/Comp for Infrastructure PE

I've become pretty interested in the Infrastructure PE space and was wondering on culture and comp for enty-level (some of these firms have analysts and some don't) at these firms. Particularly, places like Riverstone, GIP, Stonepeak, NGP, as well as MF Infra arms like KKR have caught my eye. I'm a soph at a target w/ internship lined up at renewables hedge fund this summer and looking to get into BB O&G/Power/Utilities/Renewables groups. Got ties to Texas too which I assume should be a plus for some of these Infra PE firms w/TX offices. Can someone also explain generally what Infra is/isn't considered to be? Seems to me to be mostly focused on energy and transportation/logistics.
