First time meeting headhunter; any tips?

Hi monkeys,

Hope you are doing well.

Next week I have my first time meeting a headhunter. I just finished my undergrad and I am currently recruiting for PE in London.

What should I do?
Do I have to wear a suit?
Do I need to bring any materials?
How to find out which funds the headhunters are currently covering (this form is outdated and the fund does not mention anything on their website)

We are in a nice restaurant, am I expected to pay for the headhunter? Do I have to pay for myself? What can I order?

Any other tips?

If they say to you that they already have a few opportunities that may fit your profile, ask for the job description first. Do not give them your resume before seeing a JD especially if they are a “boutique” recruiting shop (or Pinpoint Partners). If they have a proper JD, that usually means they have been formally mandated and are not just looking to get a bunch of resumes to throw at employers on an ad hoc basis.
