HR is science
Hear me out. I just completely don’t understand how HR and recruiting agencies operate and it’s my fourth if not fifth post about it.
I’m wondering if they send you rejection right away as soon as they receive that information from employer? Or do they wait for an entire process to wrap up to notify? Give me rationale for either options?
I’ve been in touch with recruiter and he promised (okay, not the right word - but assured me that I should hear from him within specific timeframe for sure), yet the timeframe has passed and he still hasn’t reached out. Does it mean I got rejected and he is just waiting? Do they have their own policies when to notify candidates (i.e. maybe when the process ends?). For example, Goldman sent me a rejection 8 months after I applied around April last recruiting year (UK understands how insanely late it is - by that time candidates sort of got the message). So I’m wondering if the same applies to recruiting agencies, should I just “get it” that I didn’t progress or is it totally fine?
P.S. it hasn’t even been a week since I interviewed with recruiter so I might sound unreasonably paranoid, but recruiter did say that I will hear within few days max.
You're trying to draw general rules from something that is absolutely random and works on a case by case basis. Literally just fucking call the recruiter if you want to get news about the process
Will do sir!
