Luminate Capital - Any Info?
Does anyone have insight on Luminate Capital in SF? Seems like they were founded in 2015 by a former MD @ Silver Lake. Already on $1bn Fund III, which is quite impressive. They have a total of 7 investment professionals, which means ~$200mm AUM per head (total $1.6bn AUM). Is this considered high, low, or just about right in the PE world?
If anyone has heard of anything about Luminate's strategy, culture, typical hours, and comp, that would be super helpful. For reference, I'm a second year in tech banking at a BB/EB interested in making a jump to a relatively new, but fast growing PE fund.
Bumping in case anyone in the software PE space has any insight! Or maybe friends that work there now or in the past
I've worked with them on a couple deals, great group of people.
do you mind expanding a bit on that? I assume you mean that the people are nice, which alludes to a good culture?
hollie haynes is incredibly smart.
luminate will be a top target of mine post-mba if they are hiring.
do you mind expanding on your reasoning?
Would be curious to hear more as well
Agree check out her YouTube interviews. Some witty / smart humor
Bumping to see if anyone has more info. Would love any insight on comp, hours, and broader team.
