PE secondaries comp check
Any insight on where PE secondaries associate pay is shaking out after on cycle?
I’ve included a few associate 1 data points below to start:
Lexington Partners $125k base 150% bonus
HarbourVest 130k base 100% bonus
Landmark Partners 125k base 80% bonus
Those are nice bonuses but base is surprisingly quite low compared to sellside PCA?
Would have expected around 175 base
Similar to MM PE, buyside will have less cash comp and won't usually beat out the sellside until you get carry as a senior associate/VP+
How much is PCA all in comp?
Bump.
I would’ve thought base might be a little higher, too, but the all in looks good. I think some like Hamilton Lane are even lower than your numbers
Why is Hamilton Lane so low? Cause of cost of living in the Philly area?
Any datapoints for them?
Dunno but like partners group they have been prolific in hiring people from Shitter Capital.
What about for BX or pay for analysts?
Bump, how does BX Strategic Partners treat juniors?
Bump

Ares Landmark for Analyst 1 120k base + 50-80% bonus + 30k signing/relocation
how about for associates?
~160k base, unknown bonus
nice
Does anyone have any idea of senior comp? How much cash/carry do partners/MD/director typically get?
