Recruiting now for summer 2024 internship in IB/PE/VC/AM? SOS?

Hi all, I am looking for some advice in terms of landing a finance internship in Canada (preferably Toronto) for the summer of 2024. This is my first time posting, so please excuse mediocre formatting. Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the main recruitment cycle due to an unexpected surgery and my consequent need to prioritize my health. As of now, in March, I have not secured an internship for the summer.

Am I doomed or are there frims still hiring? Any advice on where to focus my time & effort?

For context: I am in my last year at McGill completing a finance (Bcom) degree. I also have previous internship experience at a PE-esque family office.
