Thoughts on Park Square Capital?

Hey everyone,

I am mainly interested in PE, but I wanted to have your opinion on starting in Private Debt instead of starting in IBD.
More specifically, what do you think of Park Square? It is a Private Debt firm, mainly focused on Europe. Do you think it is a good move to start my career there and then move when possible and join a PE fund in Germany (I am German native)?

Thanks !

It's not that easy to move from private debt to private equity. Generally it's easier to go the other way round. But private debt is a good job and makes you marketable to a bunch of other mezzanine type shops, which is a good gig.

I hope you have found a better opportunity, and if you are certain you want to do PE, I am not sure how helpful PD experience will be with that.

as for Park Square, they are really, really, really below the market average. While the market has been overheated pre-Covid, those guys sound like they will really take anything that comes their way.
