UMM/MF Miami Offices

Looking at the big 3 but please add more if you got em', plus culture, of those offices if you been to them or know anyone.

  1. BX has a Miami office to my knowledge no investment professionals are in that office yet, it is solely HR, tech and fund finance
  2. KKR opened a Miami office this past year, solely fundraising professionals focused on HNW
  3. Apollo has a Miami office, can't find much info, but I assume they have investment professionals as Antoine is the cohead of the office

I think I am looking for more where Miami isn't the HQ, Orlando Bravo made a big deal about moving the HQ title from San Fran to Miami, so obv investors will be there, I Squared and HIG, the HQ is Miami as well so makes sense for investors to be there

The 3 firms I listed obv NYC are HQ but they have that Miami presence with Ken Griffin's recent comments on Miami growing as a financial hub how many other shops are going to have some investors down in Miami

TJC has an office in Miami but I’m not sure how it’s being used. I heard investment professionals use it and people come down from New York to use it too.

Just a rumor coming from someone who doesn’t work at TJC so take it with a grain of salt

Point 72 has an office there in Brickell as well as an office in the Hamptons. Think it's a satellite office for analysts on their Friday work days before hitting the slopes at E11EVEN and Sexy Fish.

Apollo think its basically a tax haven P.O. Box for their NYC/LA partners. Let's be honest, much of the bull pen will always be in NYC. Citadel is unique in that Ken has amassed a $35 billion net worth, can do whatever he wants, and is in the stage where he's starting to make political statements with his money. Don't know too many big alts shops in Miami. The real exciting opportunities which are hard to come by is in the family office space.

We're not lawyers. We're investment bankers. We didn't go to Harvard. We Went to Wharton!
