Wow thanks!! Have you tried using it?
I have! Stopped counting the number of relevant threads at about ten, but I figured you didn't know it existed, and wanted to be helpful. Can't imagine you're the kind of person who would deliberately waste someone else's time looking for an answer that you could have easily accessed on your own!
Wow my search function skills must not be as advanced as yours. I’ll definitely work on improving that. Since you’re such an advanced searcher could you kindly link those 10 relevant threads you’ve found?
Guess there aren’t that many links huh
Seems like you've got the right attitude for being in real estate. We love the "ask others to answer simple, easily researched questions" types of junior folks! Not really a "problem solving" industry.
You sound like the type of guy where the junior analysts must not like you very much...
Ozymondias is a pretty disagreeable guy, but he’s actually right. There have been 1-2 20+ comment threads on Arbor. If you’re not capable of finding them, you probably need to work on your problem solving skills
Do you know if it's an agency role or structured finance?
When through all 3 rounds with them a couple years back but ultimately declined the offer. Almost entirely fit with a few easy technicals sprinkled in. Finance bro-culture, almost all younger guys with a years internship in experience. Lots of turnover after 2 years I’ve heard, probably an OK shop to start at if you don’t have other options
Thank you for the meaningful input. Doesn’t seem like I’d enjoy working their very much from my impression.
No prob. Same reason I declined, suppose if you wanted to be an underwriter or work in originations (good $$ but sales role) it could be a good path. Otherwise I’d pass
What was comp?
i interview with their structured finance team a few months ago. None of the guys struck me as very intelligent. Seemed like a bunch of jersey / long island bros - not my cup of tea personally.
I would pass.
What is structured finance ?
