You could exit to unemployment right now. That's about it.
Despite what they tell you, brokerage is not REIB/REGAL.
this is very helpful!
It's the truth. You might get an analyst role but you'd be competing with a bunch of folks with buy side experience.
Would Eastdil put you in a different/better position?
Would Eastdil put you in a different/better position?
Yes. Eastdil does well.
Whatever you've made of it. You won't gain any skills with any particular relevance in brokerage, so it depends on how well you've networked and ingratiated yourself with the folks who do the actual work.
Ignore these comments, I can almost guarantee the vigormas5sta went to a non target school in the southeast with a bad gpa and graduated 1-2 years ago.
I can speak for NYC/LA, if you are at a major shop your exit options are endless. Principal, debt, development, you name it you can get it. My buddies at the big shops were getting jobs thrown at them like candy pre-rate bumps in 2022.
lol yeah i hear and agree w you; im not worried about it and candidly am not looking to leave my role, but the state of the market does have me a little worried. probably be moving to an associate in the near future and honestly think it might be more worthwhile to continue as an analyst for the near term
In the same boat as you. Looking to get more deals closed that I've worked on first.
Would look very good. Just scan exits for the bigger capital markets teams.
It’s a bozo fest in these comments lol.
absolutely lmao.
Endless, people love brokerage experience since they know you can grind. Currently leaving similar role but with more experience and have offers from developers, family offices, and value-add guys.
Lots of salary slaves in the comment section here. Sorry you're capped at whatever your daddy will pay you.
