Capital Markets in 2008, Brainstorming Interview Question and am Curious
I have a meeting coming up with a guy in capital markets. I'm putting together a list of questions and one that crossed my mind was what do you do in a situation like 2008 where people aren't really looking for money to put into new deals and if they do deals they aren't as big as before and thus less fees. I wanted to understand more as I have a basic understanding of what capital markets are, but am curious to know how this applied to a time like 2008 and if anyone can give me more background in order to better formulate a good question.
