Case study question - amortized capex within CAM
Need some help with a case study question - thanks a ton in advance! I'm modeling out cash flow for a RE investment and there is a line item within CAM called "amortized Capex." My understanding is that this is not actual cash capex spend each year and is just included in there as a reference account for determining the reimbursement from the tenants. In which case, this should be excluded from the actual opex for purposes of calculating actual cash flow. My thought was to remove this from the actual opex and just have a reference projection moving forward for amortized capex to calculate expense reimbursement.
Thanks so much!
