from buyside to sell side
Anyone move from buyside to sell side, given the crazy amount of sales going on? I know the reasons people usually cite for enjoying development or investment aspects of the business, but has anyone ever gotten tired of bidding and the bs, and said F it and move to a brokerage? It is way more a sales job, but the product literally sells itself.... thoughts?
I left a “buy side” trading position at a L/S fund to go learn to sell secondaries. I enjoy it a lot more. Maybe I’m not exactly what you’re talking about but I’ve always preferred sales and relationships.
