How to Calculate Unit Rents From By The Bed Rent Roll
All - we're looking at a student deal that has rents broken out by the bed, I'm looking to condense it into a by the unit rent. I have unit #', market rents, and actual rents. Any ideas for combining the by-the-bed rents into one unit rent? (Each of the units is split differently (1, 2, 3, 4, students so a simple copy and paste formula won't work).
I'm thinking of a SUMIF type of formula but can't figure out how to get it to pull unit numbers that match one another.
Any ideas would be awesome!
Ex:
110-A - $550 - $550
110-B - $600 - $550
Not an expert on student housing, but why would you want to do this? Wouldn't it make more sense for that product type to look at it on a per bed basis since you aren't leasing out by the unit anyways? A per unit rent seems pretty meaningless here.
