RE PE Shops that work at the corporate level?
What RE PE shops are there that work on the corporate level instead of the asset level? I know Blackstone and TPG do, but what are some others, preferably NYC based?

Intern in IB - Cov, hey, look at the bright side, at least you didn't get a ton of monkey shit thrown at you...here is my best guess on threads that might be helpful:
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
Almanac (Neuberger Berman) comes to mind
Not really nyc based but Strategic Value Partners out of Greenwich. Technically a HF that does more PE style investments
Does this just mean larger transactions (ie a single asset of $50mm wouldn't move the needle but $500mm to $1 billion portfolio will?) - and is this the same as Opco / Propco one is asset level the other more removed?
yeah basically like how buying one student housing building wouldn’t matter for BX but buying all of ACC will…not really worried about the opco/propco distinction but assuming that OpCo would fall under buyout not RE given that they don’t own any real assets but guess that depends on the shop?
I assume that brookfield and starwood also work at the corporate level, but not sure (hence the thread lol)
Got it, curious though why is that more interesting/helpful. Isn't the reality only a few companies are doing that and working at the asset level is a more useful skillset?
