Does the compensation in REIB and REPE is same as regular IB and PE?
If not - is it lower? is it higher?
If it more complex and not a black and white type of topic - please elaborate (only if it's really complex, I'm talking in general, obviously it's different from firm to firm).

i think this is an interesting topic that hasn’t been thoroughly discussed on wso before. I’ve seen both yes and no’s to this question and would also appreciate hearing answers and facts to this.
REIB is IB so it’s not higher or lower than IB. I would say there is a slight discount from REPE to PE. Probably like 20-30% less than corp PE (excluding megafunds which is on par with corp PE) but with less hours.
Probably 20-30% discount between REPE and generalist PE.
Assuming you are referring to MFs though. Smaller funds are a different story as REPEs only pay juniors well at the MFs.
