REPE funds & carry comp
There has been plenty of discussion on carry in traditional vanilla PE jobs...however I haven't seen much on carry within REPE funds. Among the largest top 20 funds or so - at what level does carry start to kick in?
Are associates getting carry - or does this not really happen until the VP level and up? Any educated insight into this would be much appreciated.

It's highly variable from my experience. One thing I'll tell you is that some of the big, premium developers offer excellent carry to senior / executive level employees and it's often on a project basis. That can be highly lucrative.
International Pymp,
Could you elaborate more on the specifics of your above post:
a) which specific types of firms within development offer a carry to executives (obviously giving names would be best, but understand if you are not comfortable).
b) what executive level (ie, VP>? or have you seen lower ranks like Associates or even below get some level of participation) typically qualifies.
c) anecdotally what are some of the numbers that you are seeing recently (somewhat recently) being pulled down in these arrangements by these execs.
d) any other color you could give to this as it is very interesting.
Thanks. Much appreciated.
