When Did This Start Happening?

When the hell did it become commonplace for people to start writing paragraphs on LinkedIn because they accepted an internship. I’ve noticed this over the last few years and I just don’t get what folks are trying to accomplish by doing so. No one cares that you accepted an internship at Deloitte nor do you have to thank 10 HR people in a monologue 😂😂😂😂😂 some of the younger heads crack me up

Welcome to my generation...Oh, and Brigette Hyacinth's world (just search through her posts if you don't know)

It's just social media bro, it's not that deep. The people making those posts are the youngest gen of professionals using LinkedIn, and they grew up with facebook, twitter, tiktok, etc. For them it's normal to make posts about milestones in their life and to share their feelings/thoughts about their experiences with the world.
