Mentioning Olympiad participation on the resume
I am recent math PhD applying for entry-level jobs in quantitative finance. I know next to nothing about the field and have a question regarding the resume that some people on this forum might be able to answer.
I read in a couple of places (including a few job postings) that Olympiad participation is a bit helpful for some of these jobs. It was a bit ambiguous if they only meant participation at the international level.
Is it a good idea to mention it on the resume if you made it to the IMO training camp but did not make the team? Or would it seem weird to mention something done in high school?
