eMBA Haas v eMBA Wharton SF for REPE, Infra PE, or RE Development
Hey all,
New guy here, your expertise is respectfully requested and appreciated. The depth and breadth of knowledge on this forum is impressive. Look forward to paying it back years from now in your shoes.
I'll be applying to eMBA programs UC Berkley Haas and UPenn Wharton SF. I'm 32 and thus leaning towards the eMBA option and want to start getting experience immediately. My peers with my background/stats have mostly gone to M7 schools.
Question: which program, if any, will get me closer to my goals?
- Short-term Goal (0-3 years): Gain experience in PE for RE/Infrastructure or RE Development/Construction
- Long-term Goal (3-?): Form a P3 Infrastructure venture that will cost 500 million - 1 billion USD yielding 100 million USD annual revenue. (I'm using estimates from previous studies and similar projects)
Phrased another way, which degree/institution and job during/after, will convince PE to give a million USD for due diligence (cost estimates/revenue estimates) on a project showing it's viability before raising a billion USD from PE?
Both programs will cost me basically the same thanks to the Post 9/11 GI bill. I have no desire to live out East unless I'm raising capital in NYC and/or when seeking approval from the US Depts in DC.
Look forward to your insight!
Hey man are these EMBAs full time for 2 years or part time?
.
Man tough choice. I'd go Haas, but you're into RE, Wharton wins here.
Did you do the GMAT? Are you in a similar field now working full time?
+1 for your service.
