How is my college list?

how would y'all say my college list is? any suggestions? Feel free to correct me or suggest something. I have my stats listed below for reference.

I felt that for my stats, while they are good, they aren't great so my strategy is to target good state schools for finance as the state schools are typically easier to get into than good private universities.

I'm a senior rn oos in texas, asian.

Gpa : 4.7 weighted, 3.7 unweighted
(not ranked, my school only ranks top 10 percent)

Sat :1560, PSAT :1490, national merit semifinalist atm

Ec's :3 years of high school jv tennis and tournaments outside of school, nationals bpa competitor for Advanced Accounting (one year), 30 hours volunteering at a thrift store, got a job at Whataburger since june 2021, member of business club freshman year.

Courseload : 4 ap classes taken in high school (lang, ab, lit, bc)

Ap exams : ap lang - got a 3 (will take lit and bc this year)

Recommendation letters : my ap calc bc teacher said yes and so did my accounting 1 teacher.

Not going to tell you what’s right or wrong, but will list my college stats for reference, and where I ended up:

  • Academics: sat: >1550/1600 gpa: weighted 4.2/4, unweighted 3.9/4, took apush, apgov, ab, bc, ap physics c
  • Extracurriculars: captain of lacrosse team, student class president, participant in math club
  • Accepted into B1G state school, accepted into higher tier SEC state school, Rejected by a couple of higher tier business programs.
  • Word of advice: if you’re applying to your dream school, chances are their business program has a way lower acceptance rate than many other majors they offer. May want to look into applying to a major outside of business to increase your odds of getting in, then switch majors. I know kids who applied to vandy as music majors, got in, then immediately switched to business. Kind of dishonest, but that’s an ethical decision you need to make.
